Divisions

J.V. DIVISION
5th & 6th Grade Boys
5th & 6th Grade Girls

VARSITY DIVISION
7th & 8th Grade Boys
7th & 8th Grade Girls

• Players may play up, but NOT down (i.e. 6th graders may play in the Varsity division, but 7th or 8th graders may not play in the J.V division).
  
  
• Players may not roster on more than one team.
  
  
• All players must attend the school for which they play.
  
  
• Any eligibility questions will be decided by the tournament committee and all decisions are final.

PLAY

• For the VARSITY DIVISION play will consist of FIVE PLAYERS PER SIDE (Four field players plus a goalie)
• For the J.V. DIVISION play will consist of SIX PLAYERS PER SIDE (Five field players plus a goalie)

GAMES

• Each team will play at least three games
• Each game will be 18 minutes in length
• A certified athletic trainer will be on site at all times

AWARDS

• First and second place finishers will be presented with team awards for both the Gold and Silver brackets.
• First place finishers in both brackets will also receive a T-shirt.  (A MAXIMUM OF 18 PLAYERS PER TEAM)

LOCATION

• Games will be played in the Mercyhurst Prep Gymnasium. 
• We will be using the full floor with three walls and one touch line.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

• THE ENTRY FEE IS $100 PER TEAM.
  
  
• Team registration forms and payment must be received by March 1, 2011.
  
  
• Entry will be limited; there will be up to 12 teams per bracket, 1 team per school per gender and age division. 
  
  
• Additional teams will be accepted based upon space availability and the date initial payment was received. 
  
  
• Register early!  Beginning March 2nd, coaches requesting additional teams will be contacted regarding registration for extra bracket placements and will have until March 19th to make subsequent payments. 
  
  
• To enter your team(s), please complete and return the accompanying registration form with your payment ASAP.
  
  
• Be sure to indicate if you would like to be considered for additional teams. 
  
  
• Entries should be mailed to the name at the bottom of the registration form.  
  
  
• Checks can be made payable to: MERCYHURST PREP SOCCER BOOSTERS.
  
  
• Completed roster and liability forms must be turned in during tournament registration on Thursday, March 24th from 7-9 pm at the Mercyhurst gym foyer. All forms will be reviewed at this time to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements. Failure to submit your forms on the 24th could make your players or team ineligible to participate in the tournament.
